Disney's 'Enchanted' Sequel Lands Director Adam Shankman
2007's Enchanted earned $340 million at the box office for Disney, with Amy Adams starring as the leading princess. It also earned three music-related Oscar nominations.
Officially titled Disenchanted, the sequel has had trouble getting going. Now, however, a new director has signed on to get this thing going, as Adam Shankman is in negotiations to take over the job.
Plans are to get production underway before summer 2017. The first film saw the princess thrown into the live-action world of New York City, having been prevented from marrying her Prince Charming by an evil queen.
The sequel takes place a decade later.
