Toby Stephens and Maxwell Jenkins Join Netflix' 'Lost in Space'
Netflix' remake of popular 60's TV series Lost in Space is picking up two more names to add to its cast. Toby Stephens, who portrays Captain Flint in Black Sails, is about to embark on a different kind of trip as he is cast as the family patriarch John Robinson. Maxwell Jenkins (Sense8, Betrayal) will be his youngest son, Will. The two will join Taylor Russel who was recently cast as Judy, the family's oldest daughter.
In the new series the Robinson family is stranded light years away from their intended destination. They find themselves battling a strange new alien environment, as well as their own personal demons.
Mark Sazama and Burk Sharpless (Dracula Untold) will write the series, which is scheduled to air sometime in 2018. There are still a few more names that need to be cast, and maybe, hopefully, a robot? We'll keep you updated.
