'Wonder Woman' Director Patty Jenkins Praises 'Suicide Squad'
Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins has taken to Twitter to praise the latest DC film, making sure to emphasise that her role in the DC world didn't control her opinion.
"Uh… You guys. Super confused. Just went to the premiere of #SuicideSquad. Hadn’t seen it. It’s great! Not sort of great. GREAT! I mean…" the director wrote. She followed it up not long after.
"…I loved it. So surprised by some reviews. I don’t get it. I thought it was awesome. And NOT just because I’m in the DC world. Truly."
While the critical reception has been mixed, that's probably the point. It's mixed. It isn't the 180 that the studio and fans were hoping for, but it starts to right the ship and put the DCEU back on course... maybe.
