Quentin Tarantino and Uma Thurman to host anniversary screening of Pulp Fiction at Cannes
Quentin Tarantino and his Pulp Fiction leading lady, Uma Thurman, are returning to host a special screening of the film at the Cannes Film Festival on Friday May 23.
It marks exactly two decades after the cult classic won the festival's top prize, the Palme d'Or, in 1994, thrusting Tarantino and Thurman onto the world stage.
While it was previously announced that Pulp Fiction would celebrate its 20th anniversary at Cannes, Tarantino's and Thurman's involvement wasn't known. Thurman is flying in for the festivities, while Tarantino was already scheduled to be at the festival for a 50th anniversary showing of Sergio Leone's A Fistful of Dollars on May 24.
Thurman and Tarantino will attend a cocktail reception at the Majestic Hotel prior to the screening of Pulp Fiction, which the director will introduce.
Along with the official festivities marking the 20th anniversary of Pulp Fiction in Cannes, we here at Cultjer will also be holding our very own Pulp Fiction party. From Friday 23rd May to Sunday 25th May— it's 'Pulp Fiction Weekend' here at Cultjer. We have a ton of of behind-the-scenes footage, interviews, features, original artwork and lots more to celebrate the anniversary of one of the most important American movies ever made.
