Bond 24 announcement set for this Thursday, will begin filming next Monday

JamesArthurArmstrong JamesArthurArmstrong An announcement regarding Bond 24 has been coming and finally the wait is over. This Thursday (4th December) the official title for the 24th Bond movie will be revealed.

Along with the title of the new movie, it has been announced that filming of the movie will begin this coming Monday. The news was broke via the official Bond Facebook page (see here).

The unveiling of the name and details of the movie will be streamed live, beginning at 11am GMT (6am EST/3am PST) at www.007.com. MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Entertainment are hosting along with longtime Bond producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli. It’ll also be live-tweeted on the official James Bond Twitter account,@007. The event will take place at the 007 Stage at Pinewood Studios, built in 1976 for The Spy Who Loved Me.

Sam Mendes returns to direct this Bond movie after the success he had making the previous, Skyfall. The script has been written by John Logan the re-written by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade.

So far, a lot of cast members have been revealed over the past few months. Daniel Craig will return as title character James Bond for the fourth time. Other returning actors are Ralph Fiennes as M, Naomie Harris as Eve Moneypenny, Ben Whishaw as Q, and Rory Kinnear as Bill Tanner. During this press conference we expect to have details confirmed regarding rumoured/confirmed additions to the cast— such as Léa Seydoux as the Bond girl, Dave Bautista as a villainous henchman, and Christoph Waltz as the main villain, rumoured to possibly be Blofeld.

Principal photography of the movie is to start on Monday. As expected, the movie will be shot all over the world, something of a tradition regarding Bond movies. Shoots have been scheduled in Italy, Morocco, the Austrian Alps, Mexico, and London. The movie is scheduled to be released 6th November 2015.
