New Coen Brothers Film ‘Hail, Caesar!’ is set for 2016 release and gets a synopsis

Whenever the Coen Brothers announce a movie it is always a big deal. The four-time Academy Award winning directing team are two of the very best working today, so anticipation surrounding a release is always strong.

They have tackled numerous genres throughout their careers. From crime to fiction, comedy to westerns— the Coen's have tried and succeed at most. Their writing ability draws in some of the biggest names in Hollywood, with their scripts always featuring such unique ways of structuring narratives and an astute way of writing dialogue. It comes as no surprise that their next movie— 'Hail, Caesar!'— boasts an ensemble cast.

The cast includes George Clooney and Josh Brolin— regular Coen collaborators, alongside Ralph Fiennes, Tilda Swinton, Channing Tatum, Scarlett Johansson and Jonah Hill.

Universal Pictures will see over the release of 'Hail, Caesar!' which will hit cinemas on the 5th February 2016— so just under 16 months away.

Along with the release date, an official synopsis for the movie was released, which is shown below;

Four-time Oscar®-winning filmmakers Joel and Ethan Coen (No Country for Old Men, True Grit,Fargo) write and direct HAIL, CAESAR!, an all-star comedy set during the latter years of Hollywood’s Golden Age. Starring Josh Brolin, George Clooney, Ralph Fiennes, Tilda Swinton, Channing Tatum, Scarlett Johansson and Jonah Hill, HAIL, CAESAR! follows a single day in the life of a studio fixer who is presented with plenty of problems to fix. The comedy is produced by the Coen brothers under their Mike Zoss Productions banner, with Working Title Films and Eric Fellner and Tim Bevan.
